Head count is a super creepy short film by Sean Carley, for which I wrote an ambient horror style score.  The main theme features classical guitar, and this was one of the first films where I decided to use the guitar as a main instrument.  Throughout Head Count, you’ll hear electric guitar, not only providing some of the haunting ambient soundscapes, but even used to create some eerie effects which I think give the music and film a unique edge.  I was so happy with the result that I often turn to the guitar to provide an extra layer to any score, be it subtle or overt.
