I&#039;m fascinated by this too.  The human mind is amazing.  I don&#039;t know if you read Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely, by as I recall there&#039;s a good chapter in that too concerning the Placebo Effect.  It seems we respond better to more expensive medication... even if neither have any true effect.
